Playstation and X-Box each have their unique qualities which have kept their fans loyal over the past several years. Each group of fans will be able to give you several reasons one is superior to the other. The truth of the matter is they are both fairly equal systems which offer the same games and additional features. Fans disagree and can point out the smallest of details that make their favorite machine more unique or more useful. The battle continues with fans going back and forth on the reasons their favorite unit is the one above the rest.

The games for both products tend to be very similar if not exactly the same. the size and shape of the box tends to remain fairly similar as well. With the little bit of difference between the two it is a good idea to try both out before purchasing and see if one unit seems to be better to you than the other. Many times you can rent a unit for a week to see what you think of it. The next week rent the other machine then you have a fair comparison based on you own opinions. This is the only way for you to solve the battle.

Xbox is known as one of the most used consoles in the world. There are so many players on every game that has been made for it, even if the concept of the game wasn’t very popular. As opposed to the PlayStation 3, the Xbox has more games that are connection friendly, and entertaining, such as the halo trilogy, and halo reach. In addition, it also was the first to feature most arcade games (through its arcade future) such as Castle Crashers, Hexic, et cetera.

With that being said, it also offers a lot of features that other consoles do not offer, such as being very inexpensive when compared to consoles like the PlayStation 3. The PlayStation, when it was released, had a price of about 499 for the most inexpensive model. The Xbox 360, however, was sitting at a low price of about 350 on release.

The Xbox 360 also has a lot of new games that are being developed for it, because of its reputation as a revolutionary console. There are a lot of new things being introduced to it, such as the computer gaming platform Steam more than likely merging with the Xbox console, and a lot of new games that users all over the world are looking forward to.

If you are looking for some of the new and exciting things that you can do on the PlayStation then you should check out what all is available through their store. When you log on to your PlayStation and go into their store there are so many new and fun things for you to do in there. You are able to download content for your games that is not available anywhere else except through their exclusive site on the PlayStation. You can explore levels that you never had access to or even play as different characters in the game.

If you have family and friends that have a PlayStation why not go online and play a game with them. Not only do you get to spend time with them and enjoy a game but you can be hundreds of miles apart. This also gives you the option of earning more trophies since you are competing in online play. Long gone are the days of needing to be in one household to play a game together because online has made this whole process simpler than ever before.

Log on to your PlayStation and see what all you can do with the click of a few buttons.

Here are what we believe are the best three Xbox games. Ever.
Halo 2: Far superior to the also-great Halo version 1, 2 has the best graphics we can remember seeing when it comes to Xbox games. People lined up for hours to buy this one and it’s for good reason – it still packs as big a punch today as it did back then.
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas: A popular follow up in the series, San Andreas is great because there are so many mini-games within the master game. It already had the cult following of the rest of the pack but it had a lot of extra features to back it up as well.
Fable: Fable’s great because it can please everyone, from the 12 year old gamer to the 40 year old professional. It’s hard to beat and it’s layeredif you haven’t played it now’s the time.

The Playstation has been known for breakthrough adavances in technology since its commencement in 2006. From the built in Blu-Ray player and wi-fi to the free online gaming community, the Playstation has offered great advances in video game technology. Most recently the gaming system has been in the news for two additions that have for the gaming system; the Playstation Move and 3D gaming.

The Playstation Move is a motion gaming technology that requires a specific gaming controller and camera. The idea is that the controller serves as an extension to your body that the camera picks up and puts a tennis racquet or gun in your hand. The camera also picks up all of your body’s movements and translates it into the characters movements in the video game.

The Playstation now offers 3D gaming which is something that no other gaming system offers. While you do need a 3D television to play the 3D capable games, this addition is something that adds a completely different dimension to gaming. Being able to feel like you are inside the game and everything that you are playing is happening around you is something that has never been experienced at home.

It’ll be interesting to see what other advances the Playstation brings in the coming months after these two monumental additions.

The Play Station it’s self has became widely known for videogames almost to the point that those who don’t even play videogames know this association. The Play Station came about as a failed attempt at Sony and Nintendo trying to make an expansion for the SNES back in the 90′s. So how did the Play Station actually reach a broader audience than Nintendo in gaming’s fifth generation?

Simply put it’s because Sony gave developers what they needed at the time they needed it. The Play Station was over powered and offered games geared to core gamers while offering the best graphics. This was the first system to bring true arcade graphics home without having to water down content. The biggest push for this system was when developer’s backed it early on instead of the Nintendo 64.

Nintendo was still relying on cartridge based technology in the fifth generation. This meant that developers couldn’t use cut sequences or provide an interactive story like The Play Station could. This simple choice in media storage changed the course of the Play Station to a house hold name as price drops came and games were cheaper than those of its competitors sell over 100 million units.

With the Wii and the Xbox 360 offering motion sensor consoles, it’s only natural that PS3 would follow. At some point, you have to wonder. . . what is the difference? Other than some game selection, the PS3 move is extremely similar to the Wii.With the use of a remote, you can simulate the movements of the game play. However, it is nice that PlayStation has upgradable options. Let’s say you buy the new Move system, but have no money left over; many of your existing games can be upgraded to incorporate the software. If you’re looking for a new game, some of the PS3 releases include The Fight: Lights Out, Kung Fu Rider, and Sports Champions. You may be excited about the second Little Big Planet, too. PlayStation says the game will be Move compatible. To get the new technology, you need two devices: The PlayStation Eye and the PS3 Move Motion Controller. The Eye costs 39.99, whereas the controller costs 49.99. The product is available now, so get moving PS3 owners.

Ever since the console’s release in 2006, Wii has revolutionized the way we play games. Instead of using buttons to control the game, it’s up to you to maneuver your game play. Everybody gets involved; whether it’s for the athletic games or the social party games, the Wii is every gamer’s guilty pleasure. Some of the games are real flops, but others (like our following five) will keep you playing night after night.Carnival GamesThis game was never a major release: however, it’s still highly entertaining. Dress your character in crazy, un-lockable costumes; don a pirate hat or a pair of giant, red clown shoes. Dressed for success, play a number of your favorite carnival games: like the test of strength, dunk the punk, and knockem’ down milk bottles.Super Mario Brothers. WiiA Nintendo classic, Mario’s adventures have never been more engaging. The game allows for four players and has you racing through nine different worlds. Many of the classic moves remain the same, but others have motion-inspired twists: like spinning your controller to get Mario to fly. Whether you play with friends or by yourself, you’ll love the new Mario.Wii FitWe’re still skeptical whether the game actually helps you lose weight; however, the games are fun either way. Try skiing or snowboarding down a snowy slope, guiding your bubble through a rocky river, or remaining perfectly concentrated for long periods of time. While they may sound easy, you’re in for a challenge. Mind you, it’s the challenge that makes the game so fun.Wii SportsWii Sports comes with the console, and no matter how many games you purchase, it will remain one of your favorites. Choose from boxing, bowling, tennis, and more. Perhaps the game is easy, but it’s also extremely enjoyable, too.Wii Sports ResortOkay, so maybe it’s not as realistic as an actual resort. . . but it is pretty close. Play Frisbee with your Mii dog, take a ride on a jetski, or battle your opponent with a light-up sword. There’s a whole list of games to help you unwind after a mundane work week.
