New technology for the Xbox
Xbox is one of the two best selling game systems with PS2 being the other. Xbox has pulled ahead since the recent Play Station Network hacking which happen earlier this year.
Xbox360 is only about half way through its phase as one of the top game systems, so experts agree it will be three or four more years before a new Xbox is released.
Xbox360 has included fabulous new technology called Kinetic. This is a full body movement system. The Xbox360 reads the movement of the entire body, making games infinitely more interesting, exciting and fun to play. This helps explain it more. Reviewers believe the Kinect technology is here to stay in gaming, but hard core gamers will use the input pad. The movement based system is less than accurate and when waging war with and against your buddies, accuracy is everything.
There have been rumors about the type of processors to be used in the newest Xbox system. Some gamers speculated that the processors will have equal strength CPU/GPU and this will allow avatar level game characters. This will open a new dimension to gaming. Back stories and such can be created for your character. Several game reviewers believe the newest technology for the “Xbox720′ as it has been dubbed by gamers will be the newest generation DX11-capable Krishna APU which is manufactured by AMD and is the highest functioning fusion chip. It is rumored to be released in 2012 and is expected to maintain its place as the highest functioning chip for the near future.
It is speculated that the tablet format might be the design of the console in the future.
Game storage is hotly debated. Discs seem to losing popularity for their short life span, easy ability to scratch and other negative aspects. It has been whispered that cloud storage might be the wave of gaming storage in the future. This technology has worked excellently for computer users for years. Another idea floating around is that gaming will be held on flash drives or HD DVD, which would be a step backward in my opinion.
